San Juan, Argentina - WBO super flyweight champion Omar Narvaez returned to his natural weight and won an easy twelve round unanimous decision over rugged Mexican challenger Jose Cabrera (20-3-2, 8 KOs), who tried every trick possible to disrupt the boxing strategy of Narvaez (36-1-2, 19 KOs). Last October Narvaez moved up to the bantamweight division to challenge the WBC champion at the time, Nonito Doniare, and dropped a lopsided twelve round decision before a packed crowd at The Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden.

poor effort by Cabrera but he wasn't brought 2 A'tina 2 win , not w/WBO head there...Narvaez needs 2 get outta of A'tina & head north 4 better bouts...the jr flywt there, Bopp, undefeated but rarely (1x?) never leaves home, & I'm sure the $$ isn't that good....

Narvaez used to defend a lot in Europe but he's been mostly a homebody the past few years. Would like to see him go to Mexico and fight somebody like Cuadras, Montes or Daniel Rosas next. He's almost 37 so he doesn't have much time left
