By Jake Donovan - Abner Mares and Eric Morel both met the contracted terms of their 120 lb. catchweight bout during Friday's weigh-in. Mares weighed in at 119.6 lb, while Morel came in at 120 lb. even.

Their bout headlines Saturday's show in El Paso, Texas. Showtime televises live (9:30PM ET/PT).

Wow, didn't realize this was a catchweight. The WBC title being on the line is even more ridiculous. Part of me is disgusted by this, but another part me is okay with this because it makes Abner vs Donaire more likely.

Ever since the fight was signed and announced two months ago. Morel refused to fight higher than that. Mares made weight with ease but future fights will be at 122.
