Welterweight contender Kell Brook (27-0, 18KOs) is ready for world level competition. Last Saturday he easily decisioned countryman Matthew Hatton over twelve rounds. After his big victory over Hatton, Brook challenged countryman Amir Khan to domestic showdown. Brook believes he can easily defeat Khan, who returns on May 19th in a rematch with IBF/WBA junior welterweight champion Lamont Peterson. Khan is expected to make a move to welterweight in the near future.

Beating Hatton doesn't mean you can run your dribble out of your ass. God...I'm getting really sick of Kell Brook. Fair enough - he proved me in beating Hatton, who I thought was just a bit too much for him but he still hasn't shown he can bang with a world class legitimate champion. If he really wants to make a bigger name for himself - the most logical step would be to fight the winner of Mallignaggi-Senchenko. I think Mallignaggi wins that one by UD and even then he'd whoop Brook's ass.
