PalaRavizza in Pavia, Italy - The WBC's silver cruiserweight title remained vacant. Veteran Italian crusierweights Giacobbe Fragomeni (29-3-2, 12 KOs) and Silvio Branco (62-10-3, 37 KOs) fought to a close twelve round majority draw. The two well-traveled cruisers, both over 40-years of age, fought at a measured pace with many close rounds. The judges saw it 115-113 for Branco, 115-115 and 114-114. There could be a rematch later this year to settle the score, with the WBC's silver title back in play.
