Pac has a bunch of other classes to his credit though. He had a strong run at 30 but also a loss to Morales. At 26, he beat Barrera and drew with Marquez. Ledwaba was a good win at 22 but he didn't do anything else there and, while the title is nice at 112, he wasn't really very good yet. he won that on raw talent and a hammer in his hands.

In terms of raw, on paper, resume by names, they aren't miles apart but Whitaker not losing more than a handful of rounds for close to a decade, against steady and strong opposition, has to weigh in as well. he also had a the sort of rough shod divisional clean out Pac has never had.

The opinion there that Whitaker should be seen as a heavy favorite to box Pac's ears off counts too (for me). I'd favor Pea.

The two videos presented earlier offer a much better insight on who is the more superior fighter. The fact that these fights are where both Whitaker and Pacquiao were the challengers and closer to their primes make the comparison more revealing.

You also ignored power. Pac's more superior power cannot be questioned. Just look at Cotto's face at the end of the fight and that should tell you everything. With this power, even if Pac would only land on Whitaker with the same accuracy rate as Mcgirt did on Pernell, Pac would bust up Pernell's face and probably get a tko.

Mcgirt a better defensive fighter than Cotto? No way to prove that either way. Better question is, who is the better fighter, Cotto or Mcgirt? Cotto by a long shot and you just have to look at their resumes to prove it.

Whitaker a defensive wizard? See the stats shown in post 105 and check the number of punches landed on him by Mcgirt, a fighter who is inferior to Cotto.

Marquez? Marquez is to Pac as Frazier is to Ali.

How did Margo land 237 power punches on Cotto? By being taller with longer reach and by relentless attacking and throwing punches non-stop.
