At 47, Pea kills him. McGirt twice (and Buddy was better by leaps and bounds than anyone Pac has fought at Welter) and a catchweight defense over Chavez win it. he started to lag on the back end of his reign (starting around 96) but from 93-95, he was smoking.

At 54, Vazquez was on a big roll with wins over Castillejo and Wright. Pac beat Marg at a Catch. Advantage Pea.

Pac has a bunch of other classes to his credit though. He had a strong run at 30 but also a loss to Morales. At 26, he beat Barrera and drew with Marquez. Ledwaba was a good win at 22 but he didn't do anything else there and, while the title is nice at 112, he wasn't really very good yet. he won that on raw talent and a hammer in his hands.

In terms of raw, on paper, resume by names, they aren't miles apart but Whitaker not losing more than a handful of rounds for close to a decade, against steady and strong opposition, has to weigh in as well. he also had a the sort of rough shod divisional clean out Pac has never had.

The opinion there that Whitaker should be seen as a heavy favorite to box Pac's ears off counts too (for me). I'd favor Pea.

Pac's ahead by lightyears! Name any pee weee PPVs? none!! Pee wee's fights were boring against a not so great oponents in a not so great era!

Pac dominates in a Great era against the Great opponents in a multitude of Great and exciting fights! Pac not only won against the Greatest Featherweight era! Pac dominates as well against the welter of this era.

Dont give me JMM! JMM is Pac's main rival of this era. He comes close against Pac but he has no win to show in 3 trys!

Dont give me Floyd also!!! That coward cant even agreed to fight Pac!

In addition, most of the punches he delivered were jabs. It was roughly 2 jabs for every power punch.
Pernell's defense was not that great either. Mcgirt landed 173 out of 482 punches on Pernell in the first 8 rds. That translated to a 36% accuracy.

Pacquiao on the other hand had an overall 42% accuracy against Cotto in the first 8 rds. Most of those punches were power punches, with a ratio of almost 2 to 1 against jabs, with a 49% accuracy (194 out of 394 power punches).
Cotto managed to land only 132 out of 470 punches on Pac in the first 8 rounds. That translated to only 28% landed.

These comparisons are more credible than your assertions which are not supported by any concrete evidence.

The two videos presented earlier offer a much better insight on who is the more superior fighter. The fact that these fights are where both Whitaker and Pacquiao were the challengers and closer to their primes make the comparison more revealing.

You also ignored power. Pac's more superior power cannot be questioned. Just look at Cotto's face at the end of the fight and that should tell you everything. With this power, even if Pac would only land on Whitaker with the same accuracy rate as Mcgirt did on Pernell, Pac would bust up Pernell's face and probably get a tko.
Really? Would you say that McGirt is the better defensive fighter than Cotto?

Also why did you ignore the fact that Pacs punch output drops vs Technical fighters? We already established that Pac has more power, but what did his power prove vs Juan Manuel Marquez? In Pac-JMM 2 Manny threw more punches but was outlander by JMM?...WHY?

Whitaker is a far superior fighter than Marquez. WIth better defense. Why couldn't Pac bust up JMM's and knock him out but he would be able to find the defensive wizard Whitaker?

Cotto is a mobile fighter? Why did slow ass Margarito land 237 POWER punches on this mobile Cotto and Pac landed 276? So the fast powerful Manny was only able to land 41 more power shots on Cotto than the slow 1 dimensional Margarito?

Morales was washed up and boxed pac's ears off......the first win vs Barrera was good....fightin him 4 years later when MAB was washed up was blah...

fighting JMM 3 times in 8 years in 3 weight classes and not being able to convincingly defeat him is BLAH......

SERIOUSLY. I have zero humor here.

Stick to thinking he would win a head to head matchup or something because on resume's, you fail miserably.

P.S. Anyones resume can be picked apart like that so try being original.
The prime ATG Barrera win alone craps all over anything Pernell ever did.
Hey stupid...you can't judge a resume just off names. When you fought the fighters and under what circumstances is relevant when evaluating ones resume.

Mcgirt a better defensive fighter than Cotto? No way to prove that either way. Better question is, who is the better fighter, Cotto or Mcgirt? Cotto by a long shot and you just have to look at their resumes to prove it.

Whitaker a defensive wizard? See the stats shown in post 105 and check the number of punches landed on him by Mcgirt, a fighter who is inferior to Cotto.

Marquez? Marquez is to Pac as Frazier is to Ali.

How did Margo land 237 power punches on Cotto? By being taller with longer reach and by relentless attacking and throwing punches non-stop.
