How can a fighter come up in an racist era and be accused of letting his own Country down for ducking a draft and for trash talking his way through every fight, be now the best fighter and most beloved Athlete of all time?

Simple answer...He gave the fans what they wanted to see. Loved him or hated him they got there money worth. Nobody talks about who Ali ducked. Or Sugar Ray Robinson ducked or Joe Louis ducked...Ali fought the best...the list is long of the great fighters that stepped in the ring with Ali.

A certian fighter just resently said in his interview ..."Look at the Ali situation. Fans pushed him to get into fights at the end of his career that he didn’t want to get in…If Ali could trade it all in for his health, he would.”

Let me correct this fighter that told Costas this.... Ali was not forced by fans to get in the ring with Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Ken Norton, Larry Holmes or Trevor Berbick. Money, pride and a fearless belief in his skills were the motivation for Ali to take those fights.

“Self preservation.” Ali never gave us two years of ducking and dodging drug tests, fake retirements, or told other fighters to leave their promoters and be his own boss, no 50-50 split, or any other smokescreens, bluffs and lies. Ali is a real Champion. He loved his fans and loved this sport.

Ali came up in an era where blacks really couldnt be too vocal without reprecussions. Look at Ali.... Stripped of his title and cheated out of prime years simply because he didnt want to go murder innocent asians... This is why even FLOYD stated ALI is the greatest. But hes the best. ALI nor FLOYD ever ducked or dodged drug tests, as Floyd is the one right now taking those test. Mosley, Ortiz, and now Cotto. There is another fighter that has only and only likes piss tests...

Ali retired and came back. In 1979 Ali announced his retirement, but lost to THE Easton Assassin. I bet you dont even know who that is without google lol... And then he retired again after he lost to the JAMAICAN SENSATION... TREVOR BERBICK. So you can call it fake retirements if you wish, but Floyd was retired longer than Ali ali was retired for about a year.

Ali was born and raised at a time when he couldnt be his own boss son. Ali making 5 million dollars was top pay back then, Floyd literally today in this time and day makes x3 times that amount on the back end from concessions, payperview, souvenirs etc.
