It sucks but the best way to fix this would be to tear the whole thing up and do it over correctly. All because some lazy scrub contractor did a half arse job.

Reed, typically the best bet is to rip this bottom pan area out, and fwiw if i was u i would get a one piece precast shower base. It will never leak, and u leave the wall tile the same, and bring the last row of tile down onto the shower base, and caulk where they meet. The tile on the shower floor is nice, but alot of problems can and, and eventually do happen bro. Doing a real mud job, withplastic pan, etc.....is expensive, and difficult to do correctly unless u do alot of them..If u have to rip the floor out, id do the base, and be done with this mother****er.
