Post Comments Thread For: V. Klitschko Discusses Issues With Finalizing Haye Deal

Vitali Klitschko expects a much better fight from Dereck Chisora than what occurred the last time a British contender challenged a Klitschko brother.

If Haye fought Vitali I see Haye winning by KO or stoppage. Haye won't come in with the same mindset of his last fight and will be very hungry to win back a heavyweight belt. Vitali also engages more which gives Haye all the opportunities to land his right Hayemaker.

P4P NO FIGHTER has as much power as David Haye.

Ironically, Vitali stylistically would be the better brother to fight for Haye considering he's more open to be countered while Wlad is more defensive plus Vitali has less power than Wlad.

Haye def has good power considering Wlad was holding on for dear life in the twelfth.

You have so much confidence in a man who has accomplished so little at HW

When he moved up to heavyweight he didn't just start by fighting a couple of no name fighters he went straight for top 10 contenders, starting with Monte Barrett, who had been in with some of the best in the division and was someone who genuinely posed a threat to Haye. He got passed Barrett with ease and showed he could carry his speed and power to the heavyweight division.

Then after negotiations to fight a Klitschko brother fell threw, he got his world title fight against Valuev. He didn't just beat a much larger Valuev as a smaller man, he easily beat him in his backyard. So Haye unifies 3 belts in the cruiserweight divison, then moves up and becomes a world heavyweight champion in two fights, wow, impressive.

He was then forced to face maditory contender John Ruiz by the WBA or else he would be stripped of his belt. Haye had received much criticism regarding his chin, fighting style, and whether he could handle a tough, durable, worthy challenger and true heavyweight like Ruiz. Haye provided a great spectacle and an exciting fight even against some would say a boring fighter such as Ruiz. Haye knocked Ruiz to the ground with a thunderous straight right within 20 seconds of the first round.

Ruiz has only been knocked down once before by David Tua over 14 years ago. Ruiz took some big shots throughout the fight and was still standing by the time the towel was thrown in, in round 9. Haye was far too fast and utilized his jab with great affect, while throwing fast powerful shots continually hurting Ruiz throughout the fight.

Some may say Ruiz was old and shot but in Ruiz's 4 previous fights he has looked rejuvenated and in a 50+ fight career has never been beat in the manner that David Haye did

Haye then went on to fight former Olympic Gold Metallist and heavyweight contender Audley Harrison in what was the biggest heavyweight clash in British boxing since Lennox Lewis beat Frank Bruno in 1993.

Haye retained his WBA heavyweight title after flooring the decorated olympic amateur after less than eight minutes and recording a third-round stoppage of Audley Harrison in Manchester after Harrison crumbled under an explosive barrage of blows after a tentative opening two rounds with few punches, and with it, putting the fellow brits career in limbo.

After this fight he want straight for the best in the division, the Klitschko brothers.
