Though not appearing on the flagship station, heavyweight contender Chris Arreola will get some face time on Showtime Extreme, leading in the network’s fist boxing telecast of the 2012 season.

He doesn't need to be less than 220; that could diminish the strength he used to continuously backup a 250+ Vitali despite getting tatooed round after round. At 230-240, he's strong and has excellent stamina (he'll still look flabby, but the extra skin from getting upto 300+ wouldn't let him not look flabby until he hit the weight room and/or spent a considerable amount of time under 230).
Goossen needs to stop moving him in the WBC rankings and try to get him a shot through another organization, Vitali is too adept at fighting plodding opponents that are slower than him. I think Arreola would defeat Povetkin and Wlad would have is hands full against him though. This opinion is in the minority, but Wlad-Arreola is a potential FOTY candidate when it happened, regardless of who'd win. |
