Tough junior welterweight contender Lucas Matthysse (29-2, 27KOs) is scheduled to fight on January 20th in Puerto Madryn, Argentina. The listed opponent is Filipino contender Jimrex Jaca (34-6, 19KOs). According to several reports, Mexican veteran Chamaco Ortiz (80-32-7, 52KOs) told media members that he plans to board a plane to Argentina, where he claims to have signed a contract to face Matthysse. The hard puncher from Buenos Aires was scheduled to fight Erik Morales last September, but he fell ill and withdrew from the fight. He returned in December and knocked out Sergio Priotti in four rounds.

good to hear. wish it was someone decent but i guess he needs a tuneup since he's been out for a while. hopefully he's back into the mix of all the 140 lb matchups after this. i'd love to see him face any of them.
