WBA interim super middleweight champion Brian Magee (35-4-1, 24KOs) will defend the title February 25 in Copenhagen against resurrected Danish veteran Rudy Markussen (37-2, 24KOs), according to irish-boxing.com. The website quotes Magee´s manager Pat Magee, who says he expects the deal to be finalized within the next week. The fight is not confirmed by neither Sauerland Event or promoter Mogens Palle, who claims to have options on Magee´s next three fights following the Irishman´s stoppage win over Mads Larsen.

This is a decent match up. Neither one a World beater but two good pro's with ok power & skills. Magee won't be shy about going to Denmark either. A fight for proper fight fans. Much rather see an even fight like this rather than a pampered superstar against a hand picked opponent.
