You could kick him in the bollocks but other then that what is a kick going to do realistically in a street fight against someone with a knife ? or are you going to try and grapple him and give him time too stab you up some more ?.

Punch is the quickest way to end things, I'd rather have a broken hand then be in a puddle of blood.

It really is difficult to throw a proper punch in a street fight, if you do hit someone in the face the chances are they will open their mouth and you end up getting cut knuckles. I've always found it better to take a boxing stance, feint a low kick to bring your opponent's guard down before quickly performing a solid turning kick to the unguarded head.
