I dont know that Bernard landed one flush shot. Where as Margarito was snapping pacs head back and rocked Pac a couple times. Pac was bloody and hurt in that fight. Roy was never close to hurt, or rocked or bloody. He took absolutely no damage from Hopkins who was a much better fighter than Margarito.

Zab won the first four rounds against floyd and knocked him down (didnt get counted) Oscar was a split descison. Roy won 8rounds to four. Thats a wider margin than either of Floyds fights especially since his fight with Bernard was in the bag from the start. The rounds that Bernard won, was mainly from Roy resting and playing it safe. Bernard didnt take any rounds from Roy, they were given to him.

come back to reality please. you need to pay attention a little better. watch these 2 clips. if you don't watch closely it looks like roy is landing and doing the damage when in reality hopkins is landing the cleaner punches during the exchanges. the crowd is going apesh-it but they don't know what's happening either. this is what we call the calzaghe effect. the flashy guy is not always the guy landing the punches.

this sequence starts with hopkins blocking roys left and counters with a good left hook(crowd goes crazy anyway) then roy lands a right and follows with a left and hopkins lands another left hook counter. you can't tell if roy's hook landed(might have been blocked by hopkins glove camera angle was terrible) but you can see roy's head jolt to the side from hopkins counter left then their feet tangle.

roy shoe shines and doesn't land anything clean then hopkins catches him with a good right as he pulls back

an observant boxing fan notices these things. a fan boy pretends these things aren't happening. this video was titled brutal beatings but........yea. it was a close round with both guys landing some good punches. flash does not equal substance. crowd noise does not mean a fighter is winning and commentators going nuts doesn't mean a fighter is necessarily winning. a good boxing fan ignores these criteria and focuses on actual punches not atmosphere.

Has anyone ever dominated two Hall of Fame talents on the level of Bernard and James Toney the way Roy did?
Ezzard Charles soundly outpointed Charley Burley twice, both at Middleweight, and beat Archie Moore thrice, the last by KO. That's just one.

And Jones hardly dominated Hopkins. He won a safe, pedestrian decision.

What do you mean where? Clearly Jones beats Hopkins up more than Margarito got beaten up by Pac. Just check this highlight out. Pac didn't land more clean, hard shots in one round than Jones did the whole fight. No way. Just look at Marg's face after the fight. Just shows how close it was whereas Hopkins was like, totally, maybe breathing hard...a little bit.

That fight above is the definition of a close battle with most rounds very even and the flashy stuff (Margarito is a pretty flashy guy too though) pulling it out for one guy more. Hopkins/Jones is the definition of absolutely decimated and pwned in a one sided beat down.

Hopkins wasn't really Hopkins yet and hardly
any punches were thrown in that fight so I wouldn't say Hopkins was dominated, and Toney and his flat-footed stance was taylor made for Jones. They coulda fought 100 times and Jones would win 100 times. Toney has and had no shot. Jones would probably still beat him today.

No slight to Roy, he was untouchable for years and years, but I just disagree.

How bout Donaire's dominance over Darchinyan and Montiel?
Ali kinda dominated Liston and Foreman

Joe Calzaghe dominated Peter Manfredo and Jeff Lacy...OK that was a stretch

Whitaker pwned Chavez, and Nelson pretty bad. Worse than both of these IMO. Tommy Hearns dominated Duran, beat Leonard (rematch) and Benitez worse than Jones beat Hopkins. There's lots if you care to look, but being a retard, KiloTeague probably doesn't care to. Monzon beat up Griffith, and Napoles.

Having a close, but clear win over a green Hopkins in his first ever title shot and then dominating a clearly undisciplined Toney (despite it still being a great win over an amazing fighter) is impressive. It's nothing that hasn't been done before.

Pac knocked out Barrera and Morales.
