cotto, to be concise: he fought top class opposition in their primes and beat everyone except for pac
castillo faced top class opposition but didnt always win, although one could argue his best wins overshadow some of cotto's best wins its close but cotto edges it for me |

JLC for sure, he lost in a tough close fight to Mayweather who nobody really fights close and lost to Chico in a classic both those loses are not really negatives.
Cotto's loses aren't that way although the Margarito one can be mitigated, but got annihilated by the one true great he faced. Considering they both fought and beat quality opposition, how they matched up with the best guy they faced speaks volumes about their level. |
