Remember Roy was just coming up to SMW. He was also considered an underdog and a "hype job" due to the low level fighters he fought his first 5 years

Then he shut out james toney.

He would have no problem with Ward, Whats so ever

Boxing is much more about the mind though. You can't look at a basketball player and say, "he would make a good boxer." Hell, you can't even watch a guy hit the bags and know how he'll be in the ring. The physiology of the fight is something special and, in many cases it's fleeting. Being athletic helps, but it certainly doesn't make a boxer.

Again....a bit unfair as Roy was at his best, and Ward has yet to reach his peak as a fighter.

Roy wasnt peaked at this moment, it was his first step up to a new weight class..

If this fight took place.

Roy would be coming off around 130 am fights, and Ward around 115... As close as you get...

Roy with a 26-0 record, and Ward with a 25-0 record.

Roy being 25, and Ward being 27.

The biggest difference in this fight, is that Roy is moving up to a new weight class for the first time and Ward just went through an entire tournament fighting the best SMWs in the division, and hes completely established at the weight.
