why do people think ward should get a easy fight before bute

the dude is champion, champs are not suppose to have "gimme easy fights" there suppose to fight the next best guy available, regardless on if they had a "great run" and stuff

    this whole

"he had a great run, now he deserves a good 2-3 easy fights" is just complete bull****

you guys are turning boxing into a puss* sport when you say stuff like that....

Ward is Champion, FIGHT THE NEXT BEST GUY AVAILABLE..

thats how it should go... "no easy gimme fights"

and that NEXT BEST GUY is Bute

I want Bute to fight someone else from the Super 6 first. I don't think it's fair that the others busted their balls against each other for 2 years whilst Bute sat outside waiting to just take on the winner without having to do anything.

I would understand if he was the equivalent of Mayweather/Pacquiao waiting til a tourney of Berto/Ortiz/Khan, type guys to finish before facing the winner, but Bute is not the clear top dog, so I think he should at least earn it by proving to be better than at least one of the super 6 contestants. Preferrably Froch or Dirrell and maybe Kessler.

As for Ward I wanna see him face Andre Dirrell first, but I wonder whether Anthony will get there first as he is a mandatory for Ward.

Who said 2-3 easy fights? If he wants an easier fighter, like a mandatory or something, that's fine. Bute is going to be busy with Froch most likely, so why not?

Ward didn't have any tough fights this year. Abraham and Froch - both were easy point decisions.

I don't think we will see Ward and Anthony Dirrell anytime soon, regardless of whether he is the mandatory. He's still fighting bums on friday nights. He's nowhere near ready for Ward.

How did Andre earn a shot at Ward while Bute hasn't? First of Andre already had his shot at Ward and pulled out with Dr Shaw High or whatever make believe doctor he had. How does trying to give head to your opponent earns him a shot at Ward. But, Bute has to put in more work?
