I have an amatuer bout in 4 weeks, ive been running up a long hill with moderate to steep incline for 3 sets of 3 minutes. Goal is to max out breathing. Do you have any tips on that or other tips that will better prepare the cardio for the bout

Thanks alot

You will get alot of mixed opinions. find what works for you but I'd suggest always working to a level above your expectations.
i.e. dont do 3 sets of 3 mins if thats what you will be boxing.
I'd suggest 4 sets of 4 as when you are in the ring you will be using alot more energy.
When I'm preparing for a race I always build up to a distance abotu a 1/3 more than I'm running. You know you have it in the tank and its great for confidence.

Also as for shoes. Just becuase they are expensive doesnt mean a thing.
Personally I'd avoid the big two addidas and nike.
Mizuno, Asics, Saucony, Brooks focus more on just running shoes.
Go to a specailist if you are going to run alot they will video you and select a shoe acccordingly. They will probably let you run 100yards in them outside too.
They will cost you more because they are giving you a service but record the details of what they say. Then the next time you need a pair get them cheap on the net to your spec would be my advice.

Asics are the best running shoes by a mile, so comfortable.
