India to have any chance of making the finals had to reach 321 within 40 overs to get the bonus point, which they did in the 36.4 over. Kohli scoring 133 in 86 balls and Raina scoring 40 in 24 balls. In one over Malinga got hit for 24. At the rate those two were going India would've reached at least 450 in the 50 overs.

Now India must hope that Australia beats Sri Lanka in the final match at the MCG to make the finals.
