At the Shinsei Boxing Gym in the city of Kobe in the Hyogo, a press conference was held to announce the suspension of a fight between former world champion and #2 WBC featherweight Hozumi Hasegawa (29-4, 12KOs, Shinsei Boxing Gym) against undefeated Mexican Felipe Carlos Felix (18-0, 10KOs). The fight was scheduled for this coming Saturday, December 17, in the city of Kobe. Last week, Hasegawa suffered a broken rib during a sparring session at the Shinsei Boxing Gym. After a recent medical visit, he was told to rest and rehab the injury for at least 30 days.

I have a feeling Hozumi won't be around for too much longer, we should treasure what few fights we can see him in before he hangs them up...so hopefully he recovers swiftly :-)
