Default Why do people still not give fury credit?

Obviously the fight wasnt that recent but hes been in the news a lot and im reading the same old ****. You would think he won the belt the way charles martin did, not by beating a superchamp comfortably away from home. It was a great win yet hes still considered to be ****
First of all i keep hearing that wlad turned old overnight apparantly despite still beating everyone else easily, although these same people say he beats fury in a rematch when hes even older?
Second one i hear is that fury 'got lucky'- usually people dont elaborate on this
My favourite one is, that fury only won because wladimir didnt throw any punches. Erm did people start watching boxing yesterday? Why do you think he didnt throw punches against fury but he did against everyone else? Do you think furys style and tactics MAY have had something to do with it?

Then people say wlad underestimated him? WHy would he underestimate a guy who emmanuel steward said would be the next great champion? How come wlad never underestimated anyone else over the last 10 years or so?

Im genuinely confused why people still make out hes just some average fighter who lucked out. At 6ft 9 hes never going to look like floyd mayweather in the ring, but his size coupled with his skills make him a seriously good fighter. Can anyone give genuine reasons why he shouldnt be considered to be a world class fighter?

You can't force people to give credit. People see what they want to see, and you can't decide WHAT they see. Just ask the slow motion brigade.

Hate/love and subjectivity have a direct relationship. Your best bet is to accept that subjectivity always distorts one's vision.

But then there are those who view Fury's achievement with objectivity, and still aren't impressed. I am one of those.

You usually dont get credit for cashing in on a fight that father time won for you.

He has fought no truly high-caliber fighters and won the championship simply by not looking as bad as an aging champ.

I give Fury the credit for the win against Wlad. But there are a couple of things that piss me off about the situation:
  1. Fury's fans. They claim that Fury was an easy winner, that Wlad doesn't deserve a rematch, that Fury's a million times better.. Get that bullsh1t out of here. They danced and hugged whole fight. Yeah, Fury clearly won, but let's not go full retard claiming that Fury was a beast.
Another BS claim that goes hand in hand with the above is that Tyson Fury dethroned one of the best, longest reigning HW champs of all time. They sing this tune after whining for YEARS that Wlad was a champ by default in the weakest HW era ever, and that his prior track recard (the KO losses) show that he's an overrated bum.

I hate hypocrisy. Fury won a clear, boring decision against a long-time, 40 year old champ during one of the weaker HW eras. Don't try to spin a yarn just because you like Fury.
  2. Fury's personally. The man is a piece of trash as a human being. Racist, sexist, homophobe who hates everyone. There are too many idiots like this in the world. Last thing we need is a celebrity with the same sh1tty beliefs.
  3. PED allegations and the signs. If he's been on PEDs for the last 2 years, then his win over Wlad means jack crap. He robbed the boxing world of potential matchups between Wilder/Wlad or Joshua/Wlad, where the torch could actually be passed to a worthy champion. Instead, Fury got popped for PEDs then wasted more than a year of Wlad's twilight years with his bullsh1t antics.

Aptly put..

Fury's case is like a boomerang... He talked a lot of shit & it just got back to him.. Fury should get credit for beating Wlad but not when he got popped & was on PEDs..
