He lost so what. Fact is that his punch resistance has been improved once again now that he looks more to be in shape. He'd beat both Margarito and Cotto at this point.

Cotto was getting murked from time to time in the Mayorga fight, specially in round 7. Just imagine Kirkland bringing the pain instead of a guy who's last fight was 2 years ago in Mayorga.

That's like Cotto getting KO'd by Malignaggi...seriously..

It's not just a loss, he lost to a nobody that had a 13% KO ratio..lol..and it took 1 round and 3 KD's..it's more than "just a loss"

Not to mention he got dropped and depended on Angulo to punch himself out like an idiot before he can get his legs back and take over..

Kirkland will be a force in due time, more work, and a lot more sparring with quality Boxers, not heavyweight street brawlers from TX in a 8ft ring..

and I disagree, Cotto and Margarito both beat the **** out of Kirkland at this point..
