The welterweight battle between Omar Chavez (27-0-1, 20Kos) and Jorge Paez Jr. (29-4-1, 18KOs) has been rescheduled to December 17th in Chiapas, Mexico. Because of their legendary fathers, the fight is actually a big deal in Mexico. TV Azteca will televise the fight, and likely package it with Orlando Salido's defense of the WBO featherweight crown, which takes place on the same night in the champion's hometown of Ciudad Obregon, Mexico.
