In his first defense of the WBC super flyweight title, hometown here Suriyan Sor Rungvisai (20-4-1, 7KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Nobuo Nashiro (15-4-1, 9KOs) at the National Stadium Gymnasium in Bangkok, Thailand. The scores were 116-113, 115-113 and 119-109. Sor Rungvisai won the title in August with a dominating decision over Mexico's Tomas Rojas. Nashiro is a former two-time WBA super flyweight champion.
