Magomed Abdusalamov vs. Kevin Burnett on Saturday in Atlantic City

The young Russian heavyweight, Magomed Abdusalamov, takes on 6'7" American Kevin Burnett on the Martinez-Barker card on Saturday.

Abdusalamov, who started boxing late, is 9-0 with 9 KOs. He doesn't appear to have the best boxing skills, but he may be improving and he's a powerful puncher.

Burnett looks like he could be Michael Grant's twin brother. Not only is he the same height and build, but his face is almost identical to Grant's. Burnett is also a strong puncher, so it's a safe bet this fight will end with a KO.

Abdusalamov has been incredibly inactive lately, he should start fighting often if he wants to accomplish something significant in his boxing career.

Well, the Russian knocked Burnett down 3 times in the first half of round one, and Burnett's corner threw in the towel.

Maybe size isn't as important as skills and fitness?

i read burnett showed up at 304lbs...michael grant crushed burnett in 1 last year...

In the Grant fight, Burnett and his corner called the stoppage premature and were angry about it.

Abdulsalamov is the savage puncher that people claim Arreola is, but he ain't. Magomed started his career around 260 and overweight but was 230 tonight, in shape and looked great. He lands clean and you go down. He needs to stay more active and i think he'll make some real noise.

If Abdulsalamov is involved with Dibella and Lebowitz now, as it appeared in that video, it's good news. It means he'll now have the opportunity to fight often on these undercards and perhaps move up the HW rankings.
