Booth has always maintained he wants Haye to retire as planned. I don't think there's any chance Haye could beat Wlad let alone Vitali.

***8220;A lot of people around me are saying I could beat Vitali. Adam Booth [Haye***8217;s trainer] is on the fence.

"We watched the Klitschko-Adamek fight together live from London. As we were watching the fight, we could both see stuff I could capitalize on that Adamek was unable to do. He***8217;s not athletic, and he***8217;s a light-heavyweight.

"He***8217;s just done a lot of weight-training to get to heavyweight.
***8220;I***8217;m a natural athlete. I can move in and out of range, I can punch a lot harder, it was quite frustrating watching it. If it is meant to be, Vitali***8217;s people will get in touch, and it will be worth changing my retirement plans.
"Vitali said after the Adamek fight that he wanted to fight me now.

"But I think it***8217;s all talk. He realised he was not going to get any headlines for knocking out Adamek, so he threw my name out there. For some reason I don***8217;t really think he wants to do it.
"If they contact us, and talk to us and are serious about it, I***8217;ll consult my team.***8221;
Booth believes in the Hayemaker!! Let's make this fight early next year!!

My sentiments. He came into the Wlad fight with an excellent gameplan and tried his best, Wlad was just a bigger and better fighter.

A spirited performance against Vitali, even if he gets KOd, might wash the bad taste out of people mouths. And if it doesnt? He'l just be that much richer.

Really? When I read the first thought I genuinely thought you were being sarcastic.

As far as I can tell Haye has accomplished everything he has in spite of Booth, not because of him.

Haye has a lot of raw skill that has gone uncultivated and there is plenty of potential that could have been tapped by a world class trainer.

I hope they make the fight as it will be another mega HW fight, but Haye is going to be an outside bet. He should really take a fight beforehand to show people he has it to give VK a fight.
