According to German outlet Bild, Alexander Povetkin (22-0, 15KOs) could make the first defense of the WBA "regular" heavyweight title on December 17th in Zurich, Switzerland against former four time champion Evander Holyfield (44-10-2, 29KOs). Holyfield has fought in Zurich in the past, losing a controversial twelve round majority decision to then WBA champion Nikolia Valuev in 2008. Holyfield was ringside on Saturday in Germany as Povetkin decisioned Ruslan Chagaev to capture the vacant WBA crown.
