According to boxing agent Rogelio Espino, Ameth Diaz (30-10, 21KOs) could face IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez (29-3, 13KOs) in October. Diaz became the mandatory challenger after destroying Australian boxer Lenny Zappavigna in five rounds on August 5th. They say styles make fights, because Zappavigna knocked out Ji Hoon Kim in one round last year, but it was Kim who knocked out Diaz in one round, also last year. Vazquez won a twelve round decision over Zappavigna earlier this year.
