By Mark Staniforth - Boxing fans have become accustomed to heavyweight disappointments, but the failures of both David Haye and Odlanier Solis to remotely trouble the Klitschko brothers makes this year more dismal than most.

Hopes had been high for some time that former world amateur champion Solis would prove himself the man capable of spearheading a new generation of heavyweight talent, with Haye very much part of the vanguard.

But Solis was forced out in the first round of his fight with the elder Klitschko in March due to a serious knee injury, while Haye went on to deliver a below-par performance against Wladimir.

Haye, having proved himself spectacularly unable to live up to his pre-fight boasts, and compounded his error by choosing to blame an injured toe, faces a painful future re-establishing his heavyweight credentials.

I have no interest in seeing David Haye again. Valuev, Ruiz, Harrison, Wladimir...all were terrible fights. I can't believe this clown actually unified the crusierweight division- must have been exceptionally weak.

THE FACTS

Haye was scared shitless. He was afraid to engage with Wlad. He was in survival mode the entire fight. He was running like a scared girl from Wlad the whole fight and was flopping like a coward.

Wlad dominated the fight.

Wlad won every round.

Wlad was the aggressor from start to finish. He was the pressure fighter and was coming forward the entire fight.

Wlad boxed beautifully.

Wlad made Haye look like an amatuer.

Wlad threw twice as many punches as Haye.

Wlad landed twice as many punches as Haye.

Wlad hurt Haye several times and made him spend the entire fight in survival mode running for his life and flopping like a coward.

Haye was totally outclassed, schooled, beaten up, exposed, dominated and humiliated by Wlad.

I scored it a shutout 119-107

Another masterful dominant win for Wlad.

The little pinky toe was the weakest excuse of all time.

Fair enough Haye did stink up the HW division but to be fair the division has been crap for years.

Haye vs Valuev was never going to be a toe to toe battle, Ruiz was a shot fighter but the fight was not bad, lets bypass the Harrison episode and finally Haye completely ****ed up his entire accomplishments in the CW division by going out like a sucker against Wladimir.

Haye was pretty good in the CW division and he beat the best out there and he did it in good fashion. The division was weak if Enzo had a couple of belts but that is was you get in the majority of divisions these days.
