Pablo Sarmiento, trainer of WBC Diamond middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (47-2-2, 26KOs), told BoxingScene.com that Antonio Margarito (38-7, 27KOs) is a lucrative option if the Mexican boxer is able to defeat Miguel Cotto (36-2, 29KOs) in their scheduled rematch on December 3rd in New York's Madison Square Garden. Margarito is the only man to beat Martinez by knockout, in seven rounds. The fight took place over ten years ago in February of 2000, and Martinez was an unbeaten 16-0 inexperienced prospect.

STFU already Martinez and his camp..... You're boy is fighting Barker, Euro Trash fighter, like the rest of Euro fighters... No one cares! There's maybe a handful of Euro fighters that are relevant in the sport today and most are champions in there respected divisions... Maragarito shld just retire already and Sergio shld just stick to fighting in the 160 lb division.... Stop callin out guys 2 to 3 weight classes lower than you scrub.. Your better than that... Show your skills... Don't be another JCC or Freckles Canello...
