Post Comments Thread For: King Khan Climbs To Top With Knockout Of Judah

By Jake Donovan - Tim Bradley has been served notice either get your ass in the ring or concede the top spot to those making noise in the ring.

Amir Khan served notice in a big way to the boxing world on Saturday evening at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada with a fifth round knockout of two-division titlist Zab Judah.

Both fighters weighed in at the super lightweight limit of 140 lb for their alphabet unification match.

The opening round was an awkward chess match for both combatants. Khan was overshooting with his right hand, while Judah fell short with his right jab, rarely following up with his left, though both managed to land their money shot on separate occasions in the otherwise uneventful round. A clash of heads left Judah briefly buzzed, though more discouraged that the sequence went undisciplined by the referee.

It was as close as the fight came to being competitive, as Khan controlled whatever action took place in the majority of the subsequent rounds. A more subdued Judah was passive almost to a fault, not letting his hands go enough and coming up short whenever he did throw his shots. Khan caught wind of it and boxed at his leisure. Bradley should tuck in his balls somewhere else not named Amir Cuz from what I saw earlier Bradley might get a rude awakening.

What a pathetic fight that was. Khan is big, fast, and confident. I think he beats Bradley (although as an American I would be rooting for Timmy.) Khan is starting to look more and more world class by the fight. I still think he will be in danger against anyone with a chin and a big punch, but Tim punches like Paulie. I cant see how he beats Khan.

Bradleys style is all wrong for Khan. I'd bet Khan to beat him, if Bradley had the power of Maidana(which he doesn't, then I'd give him a better chance).

I used to think Bradley would win, but last night Khan really impressed me.

Props to Khan on a good & impressive win in unifying the titles.. I was rooting for Judah, but Khan plain & simply just beat him.. Judah showed a way better defense than he has in the past & even thou he was slipping a lot of punches, but he wasn't throwing enough & was also getting caught here & there & lost every round..Khan was definitely bigger, stronger & busier & was doing good with his reach advantage & was very aware of Judah's left(especially his upper)..I think Khan beat Judah fare & square, cause that shot was right on the belt & that's LEGAL(BELOW the belt is illegal) & it looked like it didn't even land flush..I think Judah was just trying to buy some time & it backed fired on him the same way it did in the Clottey fight when Judah thought he was ahead on the score cards & claimed he couldn't see out out of his right eye cause of a cut(it wasn't that bad of a cut & it wasn't even bleeding that much) that ref said it was from a head but(but the replay showed it was from a punch) & when they went to the score cards Judah lost by unanimous TD...Judah has a new & good trainer(Whitaker) & seems to have his act together, he just needs to let go of the drama & listen more to his corner..By the out come & the way the fight was going, even if Judah would had followed his corners instructions I still think Khan would have beaten him, but I think Judah could have done a better fight..

I still think Bradley presents a significant challenge to Khan with the different looks he can give, but it appears to be Tim who doesn't want to take the risk.

Khan's taking on whatever relevant guys he can lay hands on, pretty much - I'm considering him the joint man at 140 now. And if Tim doesn't want any, it's Amir's division by default.
