Lol, what's Foreman's deal? Wlad even chose him to be his escort to the ring... Lol, what exactly was he looking for?

Foreman's "Greatness"as far as I am concerned is because he was around in a very weak era, and because he was very strong, although unskilled, and because he was regarded as a VERY BIG heavyweight, compared to the fighters of his time. So every fight he had was a NO SKILL "shoot-out" with smaller guys, and the one who was last standing, won. That doesn't make him an "All-time Great".

Or was it because he came back in an even WEAKER period which had been cleaned up by Tyson, {who then went crazy and boozed and whored it all away-then to gaol}, put on about another 40 lbs, and fought absolute NOBODY's for a few years being lucky to get a title fight with a good-ish champion, who happened to have the weakest chin in the division, often KD'd Michael Moorer, the former Light-Heavy champ, who was also about 30 lbs lighter than Foreman for this fight.. All he needed was ONE punch, and he eventually got it.

As we ALL know, even those who call Foreman "All time Great" he lost EVERY ONE of the 10 rounds fought, by a wide margin, but took the punishment, and Moorer was silly enough to allow Foreman to hit him on the chin for a KO. It was almost the only real punch he'd landed in the fight. And from then on, he avoided anyone except "tin-cans", until beaten by....of all people...Shannon Briggs.

As a matter of fact, the way I understand it, he wasn't even Champion then, having been stripped about 3 years before for refusing to give Axel Schultz an ordered rematch after eking a dubious razor thin decision. So, in reality, Briggs was never champion either, {until he beat Sergei Lyakovitch in 2006}. After Schultz, he fought another few No-names., so his second title stint was mostly fake matchmaking with 3-4 "tin-cans". He avoided anyone even average.

I don't call Foreman and "All-time Great"....... neither should anyone else. The only outstanding thing about him was that he was boxing at a late age, for which he deserved to be complimented.
Why do you alternate pretty good posts with complete gibberish like this?

Klitschko would have been KILLED by the past era giants -- like Foreman and Liston. Frazier would have punched holes in him. Klitschko is heartless. If you turned the air conditioner on, his chin would rattle...and he knows this. So he takes no risks. You Klitschko fans need to learn your history and watch the past champs.

Period.
I've been indicted before, and have never been found guilty yet. And every time I've been the plaintiff, I've gained the verdict. Of course I'm not talking boxing, and from your comment it seems you may not be either. Else you would not ignore the actual facts.

The facts themselves are there to be seen and read, and also to be understood. The last is neccessary. Who did "BIG" George beat to give him the title of "All time Great". More than half-blind little Joe Frazier, who was a completely wrong match-up as well as already past his best.

The "fight" itself showed that. "Big" George displayed no skill at all, but since Frazier obligingly bent down enough so that he could be walked into and slugged face first, the way "Big" George liked it, well, I suppose that made HIM and "all Time Great" as well........

Lumbering Strength alone is not "Greatness"- skill is required also.

Just my opinion.

On a different point, but one which I have always wanted to know, and you likely have the answer......why is it that the Joe frazier we have seen for the past so many years, seems so wasted away and looks as if he could be blown over by a medium breeze. He looks very gaunt and without a muscle in his body. Is he ill??

frazier and liston were 5'11 and 6'0 in their primes. The tip of their heads would be at wlads waist LOL/

"big " geroge is not so big, he is only 6'3 and 220 at his best. Wlad would put on a boxing clinic, vitali would put him on a stretcher.

on point analysis. . . If Foreman came at Wladimir the way he came at Ali and other opponents just standing straight up with that mummy style - Wladimir would wreck and dismantle him faster than he did Frazier. Vitali even faster. . .

Wladimir Klitschko vs David Haye

THE FACTS

Haye was scared shitless. He was afraid to engage with Wlad. He was in survival mode the entire fight. He was running like a scared girl from Wlad the whole fight and was flopping like a coward whenever he got close to Wlad or when he was hurt by Wlad's punches.

Wlad dominated the fight.

Wlad won every round.

Wlad controlled the entire fight.

Wlad was the aggressor from start to finish. He was the pressure fighter and was coming forward the entire fight.

Wlad made Haye look like an amatuer.

Wlad threw twice as many punches as Haye.

Wlad landed twice as many punches as Haye.

Wlad hurt Haye several times and made him spend the entire fight in survival mode running for his life and flopping like a coward.

Haye was schooled, outclassed, beaten up, dominated and humiliated by Wlad.

I scored it 119-107 for Wlad.

Another masterful dominant win for Wlad.

That clueless moron Foreman can go fuck himself.
Great unbiased analysis from someone who calls themselves surprise surprise Klitschko.

Shame you missed the point though. That point being that, Wlad WAS afraid to engage, He clinched and grabbed as soon as Haye got close. He was tentative and didn't even TRY to get Haye out of there, even with all the physical advantages he had over Haye. Foreman said nothing wrong. He didn't dispute the result did he? He just said that he fought scared, which he did,he was afraid to get hit, which he was, and took ZERO chances. Foreman is just basically saying that a scared fighter will not get much props no matter how effective his style is.

I'm inclined to agree with much of what George said. Wlad just doesn't show much killer instinct out there even though he is usually far bigger than his opponents.

pound for pound skills aside, the klitschko's are the most dangerous pugilists in the world. . . as mayweather sr. would say "motha=****az are dangerous, ok!"

WHOAH !!

" pushing the action " ?

What fkn action ?

Do you mean slowly shuffling forward whilst sparingly flicking out a less than dominant jab ?

Haye is a blown-up cruiserweight who has never actually beaten a top heavyweight, and yet Wlad, despite controlling the fight, never actually dominated or hurt Haye. Hell, he didn't even cut off the ring effectively.

Wlad is a superb champion, and the very baddest man on the planet (according to his brother )..... but Foreman is bang on with his analysis.

That was a very uninspiring, boring, safe, win, against a guy that Wlad should have dominated and knocked out.
