Comments Thread For: Haye: Toe is No Excuse, I'll Fight Wladimir in November
Former champion David Haye is 100% willing to postpone his planned retirement in October, if Wladimir Klitschko changes his mind on a possible rematch. Haye was dominated for twelve rounds last Saturday night in Hamburg, but he wants to make things right by putting on a better performance in a rematch, which Wladimir has no interest in making. After the fight was over, Haye blamed a broken toe as being a factor in his loss to Wladimir, but now states that his toe injury is no excuse for what happened in the ring.

it wont draw
no one wants it
when you talk so big about how you'll knock someones head off and then they school you in the art of boxing
its hard to believe your pinky toe was the cause of your ass being out boxed
david haye wasn't knocked out
it was WORSE
he was out boxed- controlled- and vlad's ring general rivaled mayweather
a knockout would have been less humiliating

Make the rematch happen. I wanna see it. If it does happen, I'm betting on Haye this time around.

The problem with this is that I'll be temped, I was disgusted with Haye on saturday, it was pathetic to watch and I was ashamed to have supported him BUT I still honestly believe Haye has the skills to beat Wlad. The game plan was wrong, and his bollocks had disappeared.
With a better game plan, it isnt impossible for Haye to win.

talked for 2 years about what he would do and then chokes when the time comes. Now talks about it would be different next time...Wlad better not give him the chance and if Haye really means it, maybe try a shot a Vitali after having a good win under the belt. An immediate rematch makes no sense

I really don't understand how Haye was 'embarassing'. Beaten comprehensively certainly, but there is no doubt that he was trying to win the fight. Wladimir was just too much on the night.
