Former three division champion Erik Morales (51-7, 35KOs) has announced that he will be facing Anthony Crolla (21-2, 9KOs) on September 17 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Morales' fight with Crolla will be part of the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Victor Ortiz HBO pay-per-view. It's assumed that Crolla will take the fight at 140-pounds.

Too expensive. GBP already has to make sure Floyd, Victor, Canelo, and Terrible eat, no way they're throwing more money at the card. They should change the name to 'Star Power... and friends'.

I was excited to hear Morales and Alvarez will be part of the undercard, but now with this and probably another overmatched opponent against Canelo. Not too excited anymore. Guess i'll just sleep through the undercard until the main event.

I didn't expect a big fight for Morales. All of the decent guys are taken aside from Bradley, and that fight would be FAR too expensive.

Canelo on the other hand had better be facing someone who isn't a stiff Euro bum. I wont accept anything less than Mayorga. If you're gonna be a champion, you can't be fighting guys like Alfonso Gomez.

I like Canelo vs. Alfonso Gomez. But this is going to be a crap fight for Eric Morales.

I hope they add one more good fight otherwise this is a subpar PPV.

never heard of this crolla guy, but apparently we don't have to worry about him stopping morales like maidana had the potential to have cause dude only has 9 kos. we'll see what happens with this though, easy fight for morales on paper...

Strange fight.

Crolla was supposed to be the next big thing from Manchester, but had a couple of losses early in his career.

He's bounced back well since then and has improved a lot, so this should be a good fight. He is also exciting to watch.
