Unbeaten Jayson ‘Maravilla’ Vélez faces experienced former Olympian Carlos Valcarcel on July 14 at the Coliseum Cosme Beitia, Cataño. Originally the fight was scheduled to take place on 29 in Ponce but television commitments chose to change the date and place. The event will be promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions. Vélez has a record of 15-0 with 12 knockouts, while Valcárcel has a record of 12-2-4 with four knockouts.
