Mikkel Kessler Set to Fight Mehdi Bouadla, June 4th in Denmark

According to a Danish news paper, Kessler will make his return to the ring after an eye injury to fight Mehdi Bouadla in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 4th.

I think it's a good fight for him. Get some rounds under his belt after the eye injury before he would go after Bute.

In case anyone is wondering who he is, Mehdi Bouadla is 22-3 with 10 KO's, 29 years old and is French.

thanks for the post - was wondering when kessler would announce his return bout. hope kessler beats bute; but i don't think he should go after the ward rematch (should ward win the super 6) - ward just has his number 9/10 times. Rematch Froch, and if he doesn't take a lot of damage, move up to light heavyweight and try to win a strap there before retiring.

Yeah it's good to know his eye is a lot better now.

Dude made up an injury (along with Dirrell) to get out of the tournament. I have no respect for him.

I see you beat me to it KESSLER. Thing is that there's so many threads created in no time. My own thread was on page 2 after 4 minutes!!! All thanks to an endless number of threads with essentially the same topic or at least OP's that could easily be in existing threads.

              Anyways I wrote this:

The fight will take place in Parken stadium in Copenhagen on June 4th and the opponent will be Mehdi Bouadla from France.

It was speculated that the comeback opponent would be Renan St. Juste from Canada, in order to set up a fight with IBF champion Lucian Bute, but that has not materialized.

Mehdi Bouadla has 22 wins and 3 losses.
