According to WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KOs), there is no rematch clause in place for his upcoming clash with IBO/IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KOs). The bout will happen on July 2 in Hamburg, Germany. If he wins, Haye says there is nothing that would bind him to a rematch with Wladimir or a mandatory fight with older brother and WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (42-2, 39 KOs).

More incentive to go out and to win, Because if he can get past Wlad (Which I doubt), He would then be free to negotiate for a mega payday with Vitali..

Or just retire and go acting after a massive win.. cause i can see him beating Wlad (cause of his chin/hayes power) but i cannot see him beating Vitali just yet despite the fact he has slowed down

I dont see him fighting Vitali at all, But "If" he beats Wlad lets say by KO within 4 rounds then the money and pressure would be soooo much that he might have to fight Vitali afterall and if that happens he might decide to go for the Pay which would be huge and retire win or lose.

Haye never insinuated that he would not fight Vitali. He said that he was a free agent and could fight whoever he wants, because he is not mandated to Wlad.

A rematch after all, is a return bout against the same opponent.

He was likely referring to the original offer that was made to Haye before he won the WBA belt..... it stipulated a 2-bro 3-fight rematch clause.

Haye is retiring soon, so a rematch clause with Wlad would likely rule out Vit..... assuming Haye beat Wlad that is.

Recently, Haye stated that if he beats Wlad he will fight Vit next, something that I thought would never happen.
