Haye never insinuated that he would not fight Vitali. He said that he was a free agent and could fight whoever he wants, because he is not mandated to Wlad.
A rematch after all, is a return bout against the same opponent.
He was likely referring to the original offer that was made to Haye before he won the WBA belt..... it stipulated a 2-bro 3-fight rematch clause.
Haye is retiring soon, so a rematch clause with Wlad would likely rule out Vit..... assuming Haye beat Wlad that is.
Recently, Haye stated that if he beats Wlad he will fight Vit next, something that I thought would never happen.
