Default Training for tournament

Hey All

I'm new to this site and have been reading through the forums with interest. i see there is plenty of knowledge here.

I currently weigh 232 lbs and hope to be fighting in early Sept at either 91kg/200lbs or 86kg/190lbs in a novice tournament.

I have fought before many years ago at 91kg and lost by decision.

Have started training at a boxing gym and running 5-6 miles 3 x a week.

Do you have any advice on what to focus on during my training? I would like to perform well.

It's a good thing you run, but I should run more. Conditioning is the most important thing in boxing: the boxing ring is the wrong place to get tired :-)
Run every day, rope skipping etc...
Also do shadow boxing EVERYDAY! Punching, dodging and moving should become automatic.
How many days in the week do you train in the boxing gym? Do you spar a lot?
