"The thing is he can't beat my son. The people want my son to lose so therefore that's the only way he can beat him is because it's gonna be what the people want; He says he gonna take the test then I don't know what to say anymore." stated Floyd Mayweather Sr., on an interview regarding about his son's possible fight with Manny Pacquiao.
BC: What's good Big Floyd? How are you doing?
FM: I have been doing good just got some guys up in here getting them ready, you know. I've got three guys up in here who got a fight coming up next month.
BC: Speaking on upcoming fights Berto vs Ortiz is coming up. Can you give us thoughts about it?
FM: Well to be honest with you I'm not that interested in that fight. It's good that you got this young guys getting some spotlight, but the thing is this young guys we don't know if they got heart. It might be good for the first couple of rounds but the guy who's gonna get hit good early I don't know if he would quit. Man, this kids now a days they don't fight their heart out. So that's how I would call it. It's gonna be good in the first couple rounds but the ending wouldn't be as nice as everyone is going to expect.
BC: So are you saying that this might be like the Bradley-Alexander fight?
FM: Man, you got me on the spotlight now (laughing). Just look at it this way, this Ortiz guy he usually goes for the knockout he gonna come at you. Then we got Berto who might be a little bit defensive. If Berto does good i think he might get the shot. Like what I said we all saw what happened to Ortiz when he fought Maidana, when he got hit good he quit.
BC: Well, I gotta say Andre Berto is undefeated too. He might get that.
FM: He's undefeated but who has he fought? You know what I'm saying? It don't matter though. Someone in that fight is gonna quit. Believe that!
BC: I know that you have been asked about this over and over again but is Junior going to fight Manny Pacquiao this year?
FM: Man, all he got to do is take them test then we got a fight!
BC: There's already a video on another website that Manny Pacquiao said, he's going to take the full testing. Haven't you heard about it?
FM: I don't really spend time on the internet. Here's the thing, if he says he gonna take the test then I don't know what to say anymore. It's up to my son now if he will still take that fight. You know, just because this guy said he will take the test the promoters are still the ones who are going to handle it. Now we don't know what will happen with that one. If you gonna ask me I think that he should not fight. Let me put it this way, the people want my son to lose. Therefore, that's the only way he can beat him is because it's gonna be what the people want. You know what I mean? He wouldn't agree to the full testing now if there's nothing going to be behind it. He can't beat my son unless he putting something in there. But if it ain't what he putting in his body then there's something else. Why he got to say yes now?
BC: I think I'm getting what you're saying but does that still happen in this sport?
FM: You got to be blind if you don't see it. It's a dirty business.
BC: Ok, Big Floyd I won't hold you any longer. You take care my man and stay healthy.
