could you make it if gas prices doubled from their current price?
If gas prices literally doubled tomorrow, could you make it. In this hypothetical situation, you would continue to work your same job and food prices wouldnt change.
Me, yeah. I drive a Honda Civic and my job is ok. I dont have rent my house is paid off.

I'd definitely be able to make it, but I'd cut back on driving when I don't need to.
My next car choice would definitely be impacted though... I'd have to consider a Volt or something like that instead of a Buick Enclave/ Cadillac Escalade.

I get about 30 mpg but if it doubles I would be even more conservative with how much I drive than I am now. Getting to the point where it's cheaper to fly than drive.
