BoxingScene.com was advised that a battle of undefeated junior welterweight contenders, Mike Alvarado (28-0, 20KOs) vs Vernon Paris (24-0, 14KOs), will take place on April 16 as the Showtime televised co-feature to Juan Manuel Lopez vs. Orlando Salido. Before he gets to Paris, Alvarado faces Dean Harrison this coming Saturday on the Fernando Montiel-Nonito Donaire undercard at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Intriguing fight, Alvarado was always the more highly thought of guy so he would have to be the favorite.

The winner would be in line to take a nice step up in a hot division.

That is even crazier, but that is why you don't mess with bulls. It would have to be a pretty crazy scenario where you get gored by a bull and it really wasn't your fault.
