  • My Second College boxing match(Video)

I'm the the dude in red.

I've got a lot of work to do.(Tons of crap I need to work on)

    He's tall and I had issues getting inside( He's 6"3 and I'm 5"6 3/4)

I was very tired in the third round.

All and all I had a good time.

    So Judge away.

Never been the sensitive type, so be merciless if you want to be.

looks like you tryin to go the pac route LOL
you just rush in and throw, nothin wrong with it but you have to have defence if you going to do it so i guess work on you defence and accuracy

          Thanks for the advice.

I felt I had to fight that way because of his height.

I'm definitely going to work on my inside game.

              Things I noticed:

Too many arm punches; You need to retract them and bring them back, don't leave them out there. Finish your punch.

You lean back and look away too much. You need to not only sit on your punches, but also crouch a bit more. Leaning forward is much better than leaning backward. Bending your knees, keeping your back slightly hunched, and chin tucked can solve this problem.

Your footwork is a bit clumsy also. Stay on the balls of your feet. Traditional footwork drills always work. The way I corrected my footwork is I made a habit of even walking on the balls of my feet around the house (not in public of course). I also have flat feet to, but it really helped.

ok. first off your too squared up stay at an angle more. your left shoulder and left toe should be pointing at him. 2nd your chin is way too high out there thats why when he jab it snaps ya head bead. tuck your chin keep your head moving and dont get so wild when you finally get in. but i can tell your green so just keep training and working hard listen to you coaches. the more you box the more you will start to see stuff. hes tall but wait till you box a tall guy who can move. you will have to be on point or get picked apart.

but you got in there when 90% of people just talk but never threw a punch. so you least know how it feels to be in there. now just have to work hard and get better

another thing you keep going for his head. it looks like your jumping in the air trying to punch him and your chin is exposed. you fight someone bigger than you jab to his chest once inside **** his body. when you chop a tree down you dont chop at the top
