Such highlights of the 32-year old's career include a spirited battle with a prime Mark 'Too Sharp' Johnson, being the first man to defeat excellent Columbian champion Mauricio Pastrana, and giving Panama's Celestino Caballero more than he bargained for in losing a decision in August of 2007.

As good as it may look on paper, Montiel is just another fighter, a good fighter he is, that is a few inches too short for Donaire. Donaire chooses his opponents well.

This is badass lil guy whooped Caballero's ass on the undercard of Vazquez vs Marquez 2 but they gave it to Caballero. I've been watching Montiel vs Valdez and Hasegawa vs Montiel. I think Montiel was on his way to get knocked the **** out by Valdez and Hasegawa stoppage was premature ****in Laurence Cole stopped the fight he should have gave the Hasegawa the count.
