I'm saying this forever there is no comparison, Messi is easily the best ever.
People say he is fed balls and its all about the midfield behind him,
Then why is it he constantly banging them in and Villa and Pedro aren't?

fact is, Messi only scores when Barca dominate. In games Barca struggle, Messi is nowhere to be found. He is the Berbatov of La Liga, only difference is Barca dominate every single game they play in La Liga(16 wins in a row wtff) therefore he scores in every game.

There was a time when I thought Messi was clearly better, but I don't think that anymore. Messi needs Xavi and Inesita to score goals without them he is just a good player. He needs Barcelona to dominate for him to perform. He was non-existent against Inter Milan and Chelsea, while Ronaldo scored against Chelsea in the UCL Final.

Ronaldo only has Ozil yet has kept up a great goal scoring record and he can win you games in a second, while Messi needs numerous attacks with his trio to make something happen. Ronaldo is a proven match winner,

Ronaldo single handily won United the double, took Portugal to EU championship and WC semi final. While Messi treble feat is directly link to Eto's and Inesita's performance

When his team are struggeling he becomes a spectator. That is what sets him aside from players like Ronaldinho, who completely dominated Chelsea on his own, something Messi has never even been close to doing, he has played like 6 games against Chelsea and never scored

As said already, proof of his greatness is his goal scoring record compared to Villa's in the same system. Villa is a great striker but he's being out gunned by a winger/striker in Messi.

Arsenal scored a lucky goal in the start of the game. That has nothing to do with Barca playing badly, Barca dominated the rest of the game.

How is scoring more goals than Villa proof of his greatness? Villa is a left winger, Messi is usually playing in the middle. Pedro and Villa on the wings, Messi as the striker/free role
