i lived in surfers its all high rise buildings there so only a small percentage of people would be badly affected if id did go. Other parts of the gold coast would be ****ed though. My mates are all tradesmen so they are already thinking about the cash they are gonna make rebuilding things. They are all heart lol.

A bit early yet, but will insurance companies pay up, or do they have "acts of God" clauses?

Yeah that is in Toowoomba. They were hit with a flash flood with absolutely no notice. That is why there were deaths. Its not the same in Brisbane. We have known it was coming since the middle of yesterday. They are currently predicting that it is going to reach higher than the last time the city had a major flood in 1974, which is pretty mental.
