I agree the wars have been failures but it's not because the U.S has failed militarily, it's because those people don't want Democracy.

In a recent poll in Iraq, over 80% of people in Baghdad said they would prefer the U.S leave and Iraq to become a Islamic Republic like Iran.

They didn't want Democracy, they don't want our way of life, I get that but the threat of Militant Islam is very real.

So whats the solution? What should the U.S just do? Allow a country like Iran to have nuclear weapons? Allow a region that trains and produces terrorists to keep active?

I'm not being a smart ass I'm just asking because in this place it's either nuke everyone or everything is conspiracy.

Syria, Egypt, Iran and N. Africa are doing fine? To what standard? Jordan is by far the best of that group and the king isn't looked upon to well because he is seen as someone who deals with the West. Yet it's his bending of traditional values that has allowed Jordan to be a progressive country.

Tunisia and Morocco are considered moderate but Morocco is sliding backwards in that regards.

The Middle East is far from "fine"....About the only country that has done "fine" is Israel and we see how they have been treated since they became a nation.

Fine in economic and political sense.

Most countries in the Middle East and North Africa are defined as High human development in the HDI index and they are still growing.

Most people in these countries are happy with their country.

Israel is doing fine as well, if we ignore it's war crimes
