Brandon Rios needs a new coach,

Robert Garcia is a real stand up person and coach. But he obviously doesn't demand enough from his fighters in the form of conditioning.

I can't help but feel that Brandon Rios is peaking with natural talent and power but he has to keep having to drain in weight because he doesn't maintain peak physical shape.

Ya it's the coach's fault if a fighter don't get up and do roadwork.

Well conditioning is usually up to the fighters themselves

If they have trouble, you get a strength and conditioning coach.

But conditioning should be up to the fighters themselves and their work ethics

Just look at Marg. He is in as good of shape as it gets and he also works with Garcia

It is like Ponce De Leon, The guy was tough, strong, heavy punch. Needed a new trainer to make him more technically sound but because he kept winning against ok opposition he didn't change anything. Faced Caballero lost in embarrassing fashion.

Juan Diaz didn't have a guy telling him to drop some pounds and face guys his actual size and his punch always seemed inadequate at 135.

Trainers are advisers, coaches, and conditioning team for many up and coming fighters.

I think Rios need to move up to 140.

Hes seems to big for the weight class.

His stamina could be suffering from squeezing down in weight.

Being in shape has to be demanded of you?

One thing you do is come into shape in what ever sport you play. Phil Jackson doesnt teach Kobe how to be conditioned, and Joe Torre doesnt spend time showing the Dodgers how to be in shape.

This makes no sense whatsoever... Rios is just a guy who is 24 yrs old whose outgrowing 135 plain and simple... He'll be fine...
