Sounds cool but the thing with new characters in fighters like Mortal Kombat is balancing issues. Usually by this time all the other characters have been tweaked between so many times between all the iterations of the game that they are all usually VERY nicely balanced late in the series. Hard to introduce a new character and balance him so that he is not too powerful that he is cheesy and not to weak that he is not seriously playable.
