Default Top 15 Asian fighters of all time?

I had a nice all Asian boxing marathon today and I plan to continue it for the whole week.

So who are the 10-15 greatest P4P Asian fighters of all time?

.... Uchiyama > Kameda by FAR and I don't see anyone stopping Yota Sato anytime soon either. Kazuto Ioka is also one of the few special talents in the world. That kid is something else.

In fact, all the Kameda's are overrated except the little one, and even he probably won't live up to what he should.

Yoko Gushiken is a guy who was a move forward monster. I give you some credit for him, probably da fro though. Jiro Watanabe is a good fighter too. Last but not least Eijiro Murata.

Put it lightly, you don't know **** about Japanese Boxing

LOL. Get your panties on a bunch? This post was done in two minutes from the top of the head. Kameda was the first Japanese fighter to win titles in three weight classes. I put in parenthesis was "it is all said and done", he may add another divisional title to his resume.

Uchiyama LOL. What great champions has he beaten? There was a North Korean fighter Tokuyama who was born in Japan that had much more credentials than Uchiyama, and even he may not be higher than Kameda when it all is said and done. Kameda's first loss was to Wongjongkam a future hall of famer, has Uchiyama beat anyone close to capacity?

Murata LOL. The guy never held a legit world title? You are more of a troll than useful poster. Watanabe has the better argument but will he rate higher than Kameda?

The fact remains Kameda was the first Japanese fighter to win titles in three divisions, something that Harada really did when he got robbed against Famechon. Nonetheless, if Kameda finishes his career with titles in four weight classes he is done something that can't be overlooked. His only loss was a majority decision to a future hall of famer. It is moronic to simply be dismissive of Kameda when he still can accomplish much more. Sato loss two nobodies in the sport, can't compare to who Kameda loss. Ioka is too soon to put high among the greatest.

There was an Indonesian fighter who once beat THomas Hearns as an amateur, yet never became a world champion. That alone my rate him higher than Murata LOL. Go back to trolling.

Ohba if he didn't die at 23 like Sanchez and Villa would have accomplished great things, he did have a great run before his untimely death. Perhaps a case can be made for him more than Watanabe. Don't get me wrong, Watanabe was a good champion, but something the other poster didn't mention was that Watanabe would be always known for DUCKING Galaxy and being stripped of his title. He than won a paper title over an unexperienced opponent by split decision.

I understand many scoff at Kameda and his three divisional titles. But many fail to recognize that Japan is essentially been a two title system for years. The WBO has NEVER been recognized by them, and only i believe recently that they recognized the IBF.

Kameda also skipped a division while becomming a triple champion. He beat the man who stopped Wonjongkam's long flyweight winning streak.

As for Chitalada i would like to see his bout with Yong-kang kim to make that decision. Because i saw Gamez-Kim and Gamez was robbed, and if Chitalada did beat him than you can make a good for him being top three Thai fighter. Kim loved to wrestle and push off and i wonder if he did that to beat Chitalada. However, Chitalada is higher than Khaokor Galaxy, but not his brother. Although a short career, i think Muangsurin is also among the best Thai fighters. People remember him mainly for his loss to Thomas Hearns, but he also beat Ishimatsu and Velasquez. He was a world champion after only after three or four fights, if i remember correctly an eye injury hampered his career? I don't recall if his eye problems happened during the late end of his career or if it was post career? Nonetheless, at his peak this guy was a monster and among the greatest thai fighters.

Good poster. - ddangerous
Smile

I don't have enough knowledge to put a claim on the top 15 but some of my favourites (during my watching of boxing) have been....

Khaosai Galaxy - my absolute favourite. And my missus is Thai/Lao & her family know him from TV.
Sung-Kil Moon - Great double division champ who actually moved DOWN in weight & was better.
Sot Chitalada - Solid champ from my youth.
Muangchai Kittikasem - Firstly I LOVED saying his name (probably wrongly) but he wasn't the greatest but he came to knock you out or be knocked out.
Saman Sorjaturong - No one who saw his fight against Gonzalez can deny him a spot anywhere.
Joichiro Tatsuyoshi - This bloke had the most heart. I love his comments when his was fighting.
Gerry Penalosa - Part of a great fighting family. Had an excellent long career.
Mahyar Monshipour - Not the most talented but one of the most exciting.

The best are probably Pacquiao (undisputed #1 at this point imo), Harada, Galaxy, Villa. Tszyu could technically qualify.
