Default Drian Francisco beats Duangpetch Kokietgym

Francisco wins interim WBA 115lb crown

By Damrong Simakajornboon

Drian Francisco (20-0-1, 16 KOs) became the WBA interim super flyweight champion as he scored a tenth round TKO over WBA #2 Duangpetch Kokietgym (52-2-1, 21 KOs) on Tuesday at Bungkan school in Nongkhai, Thailand. Francisco dropped Duangpetch twice in round six and destroyed the Thailander with a tough right uppercut in round ten.

Hugo Fidel Cazares will be next, I guess so. I think he has a good chance in beating the champion!

Good stuff for local PH boxing. Gintong Kamao!

Though IMO Drian is very raw, he lacks defense and is very vulnerable to jabs and left hooks, he has that habit of hanging his hands down as if taunting an opponent then suddenly unleashes a jab that rocks the opponents by surprise. But that needs to be checked when tough comp is up, coz it's never gonna work and he'll kiss the canvass when he's not lucky.
