Why does weight of 140/147 matter for Pacquiao/Marquez?

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

No matter which weight they fight at, 140 or 147, Pacquiao would Still weigh the same on fight night. If the fight is at 140lb, Pacquiao will just rehydrate to a comfortable weight easily. (Obviously Pacquiao can make 140lb easy)

JMM DOESN'T have to come in @ 147lb, right?

So I really don't see why some peeps are making a big deal out of this.

Obviously JMM will beat PAC at 140 for unspecified reasons

      But at 147 it's a complete mismatch

then why not make pac vs jmm at 135 for the lightweight belts? pac will rehydrate to 148 and jmm to 144 anyway. plus it will be a legit fight, jmm is the best at 135. if pac beats jmm at 135 no catchweight it would be the best win of his career, better then cheato at 150, cotto at 145 and hatton at 140.

Why don't we just make the fight at 125lb, like the old days

And PAC won't kill himself going to 135? Look at the Diaz weigh in where PAC's check bones are ****** in and he is dehydrated and he said he had a ton of trouble making 135. Now after 2 years comfortably above 135 you expect him to make 135, by draining himself into his opponents perfect weight?

but his fans here say he can make 140 easy, what's 5 more pounds? he will rehydrate to 148 anyway.

What Pac should do is weigh in at 135 while defending his 154 lb. title against Martinez.

That way, everyone will be happy and finally shut the fuck up for once.
